House rules

For liability reasons, only registered guests allowed. There may be absolutely no more than the registered number of guests on the property at any time without host approval, even if those guests are not staying the night. Exceptions only allowed with prior approval. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that guests keep it down after 10:00. The property has quite a bit of space for a reasonable amount of noise, but shouting/screaming is not ok. Only 4 vehicles MAX may be on the property at any time without host approval, and should be parked at the Woodshop, not on the adjacent' property. Misuse of the hot tub that results in it having to be emptied and refilled will result in a minimum $100 charge. Guests are required to bathe before entering, and should not put anything into the hot tub besides their own bodies. Children must be supervised in the hot tub at all times. Firewood and fire starters will be provided for your entire stay. Additional fire pit rules are listed in the house (appropriate fire size, etc.), including the fact that no firewood or kindling should be collected from the property. If you need more, just ask!

Accessibility

Neighborhood

Only 20 minutes from Purgatory and 5 minutes from town, you're close enough to grocery stores to make a quick run before dinner, but far enough out of town to really feel like you're in the mountains. You can easily get to skiing, beautiful hikes, mountain biking, and even backcountry skiing or ice climbing, and still make it downtown for dinner at one of our many restaurants.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire house, hot tub, fire pit, and parking area directly in front of the house. You are welcome to use the ping pong or hockey equipment in the barn, but be aware that this is a shared space, and you may have to set up your preferred activity. You can also explore any of the public land and red cliffs behind the property.

Our stay in this Airbnb was wonderful! We loved the polar express theme. Our children had a blast with all the fun activities the host set up prior to our stay. The Airbnb was set up perfectly for my family. The host was very attentive and very welcoming. We highly recommend this location.

Great spot just north of town. Quiet, but easy to access everything you need. House has everything you need for a short or extended stay. Plenty of options to enjoy at the house, hot tub, fire pit, chickens! Sarah went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible. Great stay, highly recommend.

Find us

You'll want a car in Durango, but there is the Durango Transit bus downtown for $1 per trip. There's also a shuttle to Purgatory Ski Resort that departs downtown for $10 per roundtrip. Finally, there's the historic 1890 Durango Silverton Railroad, that everyone should do at least once!
